What is this 'Micro-Learning Course' about?
This course aims to bring counselling to the layperson by equipping learners with practical counselling knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to cope with difficult and uncomfortable situations they face in life.
learners will learn about the myths and facts about counselling and acquire basic counselling skills, tools and techniques of connecting, questioning, listening, reflecting and showing empathy and compassion to self and others.
Who is this course designed for?
This course is designed for learners who are keen to counsel self & others by practising counselling knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to cope with difficult and uncomfortable issues faced in life including at workplaces.
This course, however, cannot replace face-to-face counselling, as working with a counselling professional can often be helpful in journeying with participants through complex issues in privacy and confidence.
What will you take away?
At the end of the course, participants will learn to understand the basic knowledge and practice of counselling and apply skills, tools and techniques of counselling to cope with issues in life including at workplaces.
