Meet the Speakers
Jonathan is currently the Cluster Director of Human
Resources for both JEN Singapore Orchardgateway and JEN Singapore Tanglin,
overseeing the human resources function of both hotels.
Jonathan has more than 15 years of corporate leadership, and human resources experience in the private sector. Prior to his current role, he was at ARA Asset Management Limited (“ARA”) for 11 years, holding the title of Assistant Director of Human Resources. He heads up the HR team at APM Property Management, a 100% owned subsidiary of ARA, working closely with the senior management and head of departments to provide full spectrum of HR strategic and operational support. Prior to that, he has also held the Group’s Human Resources and Corporate Development portfolio. Jonathan started his career in the education industry as a Lecturer.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Bradford, U.K., and is also a IHRP Senior Professional from the Institute of Human Resource Professionals (IHRP), Singapore.
Tan Hsien Wei is the Assistant Director for Business Development & Marketing at the Temasek SkillsFuture Academy (TSA), which is the Continuing Education Training (CET) division of Temasek Polytechnic.
Hsien Wei’s education and early career was in the hospitality and food & beverage industry. He then lectured and taught in these fields at Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Business. He was among the pioneering team that developed the Temasek Culinary Academy and was concurrently the Course Manager of the diploma programme and the Assistant Director of the training facility.
He then moved on to the area of Partnership Development at the School of Business, helping to forge even closer collaborations between the polytechnic and industry. In his current role at the Temasek SkillsFuture Academy, Hsien Wei hopes to leverage on the Polytechnic’s wealth of expertise and education know-how to provide adult learners with up-to-date, relevant and meaningful lifelong learning opportunities.
