Microlearning Instructional Design™ 201 is an accredited program, specifically designed for trainers, educators, leaders and instructional designers to strengthen the impact of their content for clients through a new mode of content authoring known as Microlearning Instructional Design™ (MID).

How does it work?

MID 201 is a 12-week self-paced online accreditation program which can be completed in approximately 10-20 hours, plus any additional hours spent to create program submissions.

Participants can expect to:

  • Join an optional 30 minute Kickoff Call to meet their cohort, instructors, learn about the program structure, and ask questions.
  • Acquire a learner-centered mobile-first, microlearning mindset towards digital learning, training, and facilitation.
  • Understand how learning theories can and should shape the content and activities that you create and the flow of the learning experience that you design.
  • Acquire essential tips and techniques on how to apply Mobile Microlearning Instructional Design™ (MID) principles to create effective and immersive microlearning programs.
  • Leverage AI tools, prompts, and strategies effectively to automate and improve the creation experience.
  • Get hands-on-practice by creating 3 unique programs.
  • Attend a 3-hour virtual MasterClass.
  • Get expert feedback & consultation from Gnowbe's MID Experts and peer review for each program submitted.
  • Receive accreditation signed by our Academic Advisory Board from Harvard, CEIBS, IMD and NTU after obtaining a minimum 80% completion rate.

FAQs

‍Can I still participate even if I can't attend the Masterclass?
We will work with everyone's schedules once the cohort begins to try and find a time that everyone can meet. If we absolutely cannot find a time, we will run two masterclasses to accommodate everyone's schedule.

How long should I expect this to take me each week?
Allow approximately 2-3 hours per week for the entirety of the 12-week program.

MID301 Accreditation: Microlearning Instructional Design

A training program, to equip MID2 Accredited Graduates with the skills to effectively train others how to deliver MID2 to their groups and organizations. This is the ultimate goal of Gnowbe: to multiply the impact of effective teaching and learning. We are very excited to offer this unique opportunity, and work with organizations who desire to become training partners who are passionate about providing high quality training to their teams. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain inside knowledge about how MID2 was constructed and why it was designed the way it was
  • Learn how to deliver, teach and train others in instructional design practices (with practical tips and tricks included to facilitate online and in person trainings)
  • Deliver a short training in a small group setting and receive feedback/live workshopping from our MID Team Experts
  • Successfully measure impact: Understand how to construct assessment such as the rubric criteria created and implemented for MID2, use this rubric criteria to accurately assess learner progress and performance in instructional design principles and assess learner transformation
